Every year SIBC celebrates this day by felicitating women who have overcome all odds to establish themselves and Make a Difference. This year, SIBC in association with the Pillai Group of Institutions felicitated Ms. Shaheen Mistri, an exemplary social worker with the Soroptimist Excellence Award 2018.

Shaheen Mistri is an Indian social activist and educator. She is the founder of Akanksha Foundation, an Indian non-profit educational initiative in Mumbai and Pune and is also the CEO of Teach For India since 2008.

Ms. Shaheen Mistri addressed the gathering on this occasion and inspired everyone with her talk.
