SI Bombay Chembur observed World AIDS Day in collaboration with MES Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur with an expert talk by Ms. Dipti Kadam Vichare from Mumbai District AIDS Control Society.

Our member Dr. Reni Francis participated in the annual SIGBI Conference, held this year at London on 3rd and 4th November, 2023. During the conference she interacted with delegates from all over the world and also received on behalf of our club the SIGBI Best Practice Award 2023.
Our SASHAKT project was shared as a Program helping adolescents at the SIGBI Pre-Conference PAC meeting. Aligning to SDG’s 3, 4 and 5 of the United Nations, SI Bombay Chembur launched a project named SASHAKT in 2018 to advocate and create awareness on many taboo and less discussed topics. As a part of this project,
SIBC held its signature fund-raising with a social twist, aka the Jumble Sale at Chembur English High School premises. A sizable collection of clothes, toys and other household items, all in good and usable condition, was donated by the members, teachers, residents of Raheja Residency etc. These items were sorted and displayed for sale at
World Food Day, International Day for the Eradication of Poverty With a pledge to reduce poverty and hunger SI Bombay Chembur organised ‘Fistful of Grains’ drive in collaboration with edu edukidz INTERNATIONAL Preschool, Tilaknagar and Pillai College of Education and Research Chembur, on 16th and 17th October respectively.
