Adult Literacy Drive
The SIBC Club started the ‘Adult Literacy Drive’ for those women who missed out on the first chance in education. These women who had school going kids realised that there was something lacking in their lives and enrolled for the program. At the end of the program, they were given certificates of completion.
All those who completed the program benefitted from interacting with Soroptimist members who gave a boost to their low morale.
Skill development programs were also given to them alongside with the literacy drive and this gave the participants an opportunity to gain skills and utilise them for financial empowerment.
