With a pledge to reduce poverty and extend a hand towards this cause, SIBC in collaboration with Pillai College of Education & Research (PCER), Chembur organised the event of Fistful of Grain. The students of B.Ed. have collected half a kilogram of rice and lentils from each student and this will be donated to four nomadic group of families (already identified) who are residing near:

• GTB railway station
• Kurla railway station
• Matunga Road station and
• Sion railway station

The event helped sensitise the students towards the problem of hunger and also how, little acts of charity can go a long way to bring a smile on someone’s lips.
