SIBC observed World cancer Day in association with MES Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur by organising an expert talk on the topic – “Role of Teachers in dealing with children undergoing treatment for Cancer”. The talk was delivered by Dr. Sandra Pinto, Former Deputy Manager and Principal, CanShala, Mumbai. It focused on various teaching learning strategies as well as other factors such as understanding the emotional status of the children undergoing treatment for cancer.

The aim of the programme was to create greater awareness about how a teacher should deal with children suffering from cancer. Approximately 80 students undergoing teachers training programmes were in attendance.
