Based on resounding success during the previous two years, we conducted the 3rd annual cycle of our Project PANKH. PROJECT PANKH – a long term project of a series of workshops for the teachers and students of the municipal school, Gyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Shala, Podi 2, New Panvel for the overall holistic development of the school. Bi-weekly workshops on communication skills, arts and crafts and other activities for the school kids were conducted till March 5, 2026. It was launched on 14th August 2025 with a small ceremony at the school followed by a set of activities for the school children conducted by our members and volunteers from Pillai Institute of Management Studies.
This is a collaborative effort with Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research, in which the student and teacher volunteers along with members of SIBC visited the school on a weekly basis between August 2025 and March 2026 and offered workshop sessions designed with a focus on improving literacy and language skills, teaching craft skills, providing skills for economic empowerment, awareness on personal development, addressing mental health and personal safety measures. The closing session served as an effective platform to consolidate the learning outcomes of the entire program. Students demonstrated improved confidence in solving mathematical problems and actively participated in language-based activities. The interactive approach strengthened their problem-solving abilities, communication skills. The Project “PANKH” Initiative has made a meaningful impact on the lives of over 105 students of the school.
