I have met many interesting and dynamic women in my decades of experience in the education sector and on my various travels in India and abroad. I have always believed that a proper channelization of a collective force of women can work wonders for society. I got the opportunity when I was introduced to the Soroptimist movement and was drawn to the various causes that they represent. Thus, the Soroptimist International, Bombay Chembur Club was formed in 1995 with a dedicated group of women in various streams of education. We continue to have an eventful journey and have helped many women along the way to aspire, achieve and enrich their lives. I think it is also important to inculcate a spirit of service in our children who are the future of our country. What better way to do it than lead by example! I am sure that the Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur will reach out and make a difference to women and sensitize society towards their cause on this long journey.
