SI Bombay Chembur in collaboration with the Women Development Cell (WDC) of MES Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Rasayani organised a Seminar titled “Girls on the Frontline: Leading Change, Shaping Futures” on 11th October, 2025 to observe “the International Day of the Girl Child 2025”. The theme for the day is – the girl I am, the change I lead: Girls on the frontline of crisis.

The Resource Person was Adv. Aarti Jeevan Patil who spoke about gender equality while highlighting how gender bias continues to affect women even before birth. The program successfully encouraged 110 participants to contribute towards building a gender-equal society where every child—regardless of gender—is valued and protected.

The session aligned with Goal # 5 (Gender Equality), Goal #10 (Reduced Inequalities) and Goal #16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions) of the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals.
