As part of AAROGYA – Advocating Health and Dignity for Women and Girls, Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur (SIBC), in collaboration with Pillai University and in association with Medicover Hospitals and MGM Hospitals, organised a Mega Health Camp at Pillai University.
The camp offered around 17 health screenings and consultations, including thyroid, BMI, diabetes, eye and dental check-ups, hearing assessment, spine care and physiotherapy, among others.
402 students and women support staff benefited from the initiative.
Aligned primarily with AAROGYA’s 🛡 PREVENT pillar, the initiative promoted preventive healthcare and early health awareness, while also supporting 📘 EDUCATE by enabling participants to make informed choices about their health and well-being.
The initiative contributes to the UN Sustainable Development Goals – SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities, by promoting accessible preventive healthcare, advancing women’s health and dignity, and extending health services to the wider community.
