SI Bombay Chembur is proud to share that our Founder President Dr. Daphne Pillai was invited as a speaker to the seventieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) held at United Nations Headquarters in New York in March 2026. This was her 4th invited participation as an official speaker at CSW. Dr. Pillai’s contributions in championing women’s causes is recognised by the UN, SI, and SIGBI.
Dr. Daphne Pillai was a speaker at two official side events as follows:
1) Title of the Talk: Dignity in Every Drop: Water, Hygiene, and Girls’ Right to Learn
The event was based on the year 2026 declared as the International Year of Water. It was hosted by Joint Office for Commonwealth Missions to the United Nations: (Side Event)
