21st June, 2024
On June 21, in association with Chembur English High School and Junior College, we celebrated International Yoga Day enthusiastically. The event aimed to promote yoga’s physical, mental, and spiritual benefits, aligning with the global initiative to raise awareness of yoga’s importance. The celebration began with a special assembly where Principal and SIBC member Ms. Preeti Pawar highlighted International Yoga Day’s significance and origins. Students accompanied by their teachers then practiced various yoga asanas (postures) and pranayama (breathing techniques). The celebration concluded with a meditation session, promoting mindfulness and inner peace.
20th & 21st June, 2024
We organised Yoga sessions for the women support staff of Pillai Campuses at Panvel and HOC, respectively in collaboration with Pillai Institute of Management Studies and Research (PIMSR) and Pillai HOC College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Rasayani. The participants at both places were eagerly looking forward to the day on which they could learn and practice new asanas. Our members Celina Joy, Yvette Lee and Lata Menon took active lead in organising these sessions.
