This year like every year, SIBC collaborated with Pillai Group of Institutions to celebrate International Women’s Day with a variety of events with an aim to celebrate the work of women and to sensitise the students towards the rightful place of women in society.

7 March
On 7 March, SIBC in collaboration with PIMSR observed International Women’s Day by honoring ACP Maya More – Assistant Commissioner of Police, Yellow gate Department Mumbai, who has done exemplary work in the area of drug rehabilitation, and inviting her to address the students.

The event aligned with SDG #5: Gender Equality.

SIBC in collaboration with HOCL School at Rasayani organised a Self Defence Programme for the girl students.

9th March
On 9th March, SIBC in collaboration with Pillai HOC College of Education and Research, Rasayani (PHCER) commemorated International Women’s Day by recognizing the exceptional contribution of the women support staff within the academic community.

The event commenced with a few activities and recognition ceremony, where the women support staff from different departments were acknowledged for their dedication and significant contribution to the college community.

The event aligned with SDG #5: Gender Equality.
