Project Bloom Bold was launched in August 2025 as the SIBC’s long-term initiative aimed at promoting awareness and education among adolescents. The project consists of a series of interactive sessions focusing on puberty, menstrual hygiene and the concepts of safe and unsafe touch.
The first set of sessions was conducted with students of Chembur English High School. Over the following months, similar sessions were organized for students from other schools in Mumbai and Raigad district. These sessions addressed important topics such as understanding bodily changes during puberty, menstrual health and hygiene and awareness about safe and unsafe touch in an age-appropriate manner. In addition to Chembur English High School, the programme was conducted at Gyanjyoti Savitribai Phule Podi Shala and MES’s HOCL School.
A Special Session on the rights of girls was also conducted for students of Chembur English High School by law students, helping to create awareness about legal rights, protection, and empowerment.
Through these sessions approximately 650 students were reached and sensitized to these crucial aspects of adolescent health, safety and well-being.
