World Environment Day and Maharashtra Agriculture Day were celebrated at Mahatma Education Society’s Chembur English High School in association with SIBC on 1st July, 2017. Various activities such as planting sapling, speeches and skits on environmental issues were held.

The Chairman and CEO of Mahatma Education Society Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai motivated the students to work collectively for the protection of Earth and emphasized on the need to reduce global warming and to build a greener world. Principal Mrs. Annamma Paul emphasised the objective of celebrating Environment Day was to make younger generation more sensitive towards environmental protection.

The students were made aware of the environment and surroundings through skits enacted by students of Standard eighth and ninth. A quiz competition was held on “Save Mother Earth” in which students participated with great fervour.
