The Soroptimist Welfare Association (SIBC) got together with MES Pillai College of Architecture, Navi Mumbai to observe World Wetlands Day on 25th February, 2022 – an official United Nations International Observance Day, by organizing an exhibition. The exhibition aimed to raise global awareness about the vital role of wetlands for people and the planet. One of the focus areas of the UNEP and UNDP SDG #6 is the preservation of water-related ecosystems for improving quality of life.

The exhibition featured work carried out by the students of architecture under the guidance of the faculty team and the SIBC members. It comprised of the documentation of the Krishnale Talav Precinct situated in the heart of the inner city of Panvel. It also featured a few urban intervention proposals for the revival of the Talav precinct by the students.

The additional Municipal Commissioner of Panvel, Mrs. Trupti Sandbhor was the chief guest for the event.
