‘Fistful of Grains’ – International Day for the Eradication of Poverty and World Food Day

In association with Edukidz International chain of preschools, SI Bombay Chembur celebrated World Food Day as a day to appreciate the different foods that people all over the world get to indulge in, yet at the same time raise awareness of the growing hunger around the world. Students participated in our ‘Fistful of Grains’ drive to support the cause of ending hunger and poverty as we also observed the International Day for the Eradication of Poverty. Donations from the collections reached three NGOs for their beneficiaries.

SDG#2: ‘Zero Hunger’
Impact: 100 pre-school students participated in the donation drive. About 200 children were beneficiaries of the project through the partnering NGOs.
