Date: 6th February, 2023 SIBC observed World cancer Day in association with MES Pillai College of Education and Research, Chembur by organising an expert talk on the topic – “Role of Teachers in dealing with children undergoing treatment for Cancer”. The talk was delivered by Dr. Sandra Pinto, Former Deputy Manager and Principal, CanShala, Mumbai.
Soroptimist Welfare Association (SIBC) distributed around 250 blankets and 3 boxes of warm clothes to street dwellers in Navi Mumbai in January 2023. This was much needed with temperatures dropping in Mumbai. 500 biscuit packets were also distributed among children living on the street. The SDGs served were #1 and #3.

Project ADARSH is our village adoption project. It is still in its infancy stage and the club members are doing need assessment as well as building rapport with the villagers.
