SI Bombay Chembur in collaboration with MES Pillai College of Education and Research (PCER), Autonomous, Chembur, and Stree Mukti Sanghatana, organized an Online Expert Session on “E-Waste Management in the Environment” on 21st February 2026.
Ms. Kalpana Andhare from Stree Mukti Sanghatana was the the resource person. She elaborated on the harmful effects of improper disposal of electronic devices on soil, water, and human health. The session also highlighted the importance of public awareness, responsible consumption, and collective efforts in managing e-waste effectively. B.Ed. and BBA students attended the session and gained valuable insights into sustainable practices such as repairing, reusing, and recycling electronic devices.
The session aimed to promote environmental education and awareness among students, encourage responsible waste management practices for sustainable urban living.
