Soroptimist International Bombay Chembur

SI Bombay Chembur lent its support to the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) and Pillai College of Engineering (PCE) to conduct a 6-Day Workshop on ‘Girls in Robotics’, held between 6th to 11th May, 2024. 90 students from Class VI to Class X from different schools in the region attended the 6 day long workshop which gave them exposure to the new world of robotics. Girls are usually underrepresented in STEM subjects and the girls who participated got a wonderful opportunity to express their innovative skills at the workshop. Our founding president Dr. Daphne Pillai addressed the young students during the valedictory function and inspired them to be at the forefront of cutting edge technologies of the future.
