Soroptimist Welfare Association (SIBC) distributed around 250 blankets and 3 boxes of warm clothes to street dwellers in Navi Mumbai in January 2023. This was much needed with temperatures dropping in Mumbai. 500 biscuit packets were also distributed among children living on the street. The SDGs served were #1 and #3.

SIBC flagged off the National Project ASHA in July 2021. During the COVID times, street vendors / small businesses have been significantly impacted. Most people are shopping online with the result that street vendors like vegetable / fruit / flower vendors and small-time businesswomen are having a challenging time running their homes.
